Yes, it is a "Big Brother" world, but only because it's based on true stories, projecting these to the Nth degree. (That's kind of sad, isn't it.) No, she doesn't go off-planet, at least not in my current concept. But there is a bizarre, unexplainable, perhaps alien thing that is a central part of the story.
