Even with the kids in school full-time, I only get a few hours of unalloyed silence. At least I'm getting stuff done. Sheila, thanks for dropping in, and for the encouragement. I should add that I first heard of Sheila Williams when she did a short interview with Doug Hall years ago. As I recall, I was so taken with her own story, of leaving the corporate ladder (and burning it behind her) to become a full-time novelist, that I just <em>had</em> to try one of her books. Too many deadlines looming. I only have one in school and it's only for 1/2 a day. Looking forward to next year when she's in school full time, and two years when the youngest will be in school.
