… or “Some People Just Don’t Think 30 Rock is Funny!”

Now, I usually hate it when people mess with my mind, so why would I want to mess with someone else’s?

The best manager I ever had simultaneously impressed and appalled me when she explained parts of her interviewing process, from the inside, with me as one of the interviewers. I had of course already experienced the process from the other side of the table. When I interviewed, I had talked to a few engineers in the department; then I met with her. Our meeting went way past the scheduled time, and she gave me a tour of the department. (That’s always a good sign.) Needless to say, I got the job. And now, from the inside, I got to evaluate that process in a different light. (Read more…)
